Agilent 4150 TapeStation System: Installed 5/28/19!

• The Agilent 4150 TapeStation System, located in 0107 Microbiology Building, is an automated electrophoresis system that allows for the analysis of  DNA and RNA samples (size, quantity and integrity).
• The system is ideal for quality control of RNA and DNA samples in next-generation sequencing, microarray and qPCR workflows. 
• Analyze from 1 to 16 samples using 16-lane ScreenTape devices.

Services:

• A short training session is required. Please apply at the bottom of the page.
• Trained users may access the facility 24/7, 365 days-a-year.
• Instrument scheduling is accomplished via Google Calendar.
• Except for instrument loading tips, users must purchase all consumables/supplies, including ScreenTape and reagents, from Agilent. Supplies and catalog numbers are listed in each of the TapeStation Quick Guides (links below). 
• Users are responsible for loading the ScreenTape, samples and ladder (in strip-tubes) onto the instrument.
  

Introductory Rates:

• Training: $25 per person fee
  
• Sample fee: $2 per sample (two sample minimum: sample + ladder)
